    Quality Engineer I at BWX Technologies

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Quality Engineer will perform engineering assignments related to in-process and final inspections processes, ensuring product and documentation flow through the QC Lab complies with requirements.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Review dimensional inspection reports (DIR) and conduct final inspections.
    • Analyze production data to address non-conformances and coach inspectors.
    • Implement reaction plans based on CMM and in-process inspection results.
    • Initiate engineering change requests to resolve non-conformances.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production for inspection rationalization.
    • Review supplier documentation and release material to the shop floor.
    • Manage NCR's, drive corrective actions, and oversee KPI's review.
    • Assist in customer corrective actions and conduct Source Release/Witness inspections.
    • Ensure on-time delivery and successful completion of assigned tasks.

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

    • Post-secondary education in metrology, quality, or engineering.
    • 0-3 years of quality engineering experience.
    • Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO 9001, CSA N285.0, and N299 quality programs.
    • Experience in precision-machined parts manufacturing and related processes.
    • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    The base salary range for this position in Ontario is $59,000 to $86,000 per year. The total compensation package may include benefits such as an annual cash incentive, medical, retirement benefits, etc.
