Position Summary


As a Cloud & Systems Administrator in our Corporate Information Services department, you will administer Microsoft Azure cloud services and on-premise infrastructure and play a leading role in advancing the organization's cloud strategy.

You will collaborate with other IT teams, manage various systems, and develop tools to automate processes and improve efficiency. Additionally, you will troubleshoot technical issues, propose improvements, and contribute to the establishment of innovative cloud governance frameworks.

What You Will Do
-
Administer
  • Plan, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on the Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms as well as local onpremise infrastructure including Microsoft Windows, Redhat Linux and VMware;

Support:


  • Ensure all IT infrastructure (local or cloud) is administered with emphasis on availability, reliability, security, and scalability;

Manage

  • Administer cloud SoftwareasaService, commercial offtheshelf systems, and CBN custom developed software systems;
-
Resolve - Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues, coordinating with cross-functional team members or external support providers as necessary;

Improve
  • Identify propose, develop and implement cloud administration and management practices/processes/tools to automate and improve efficiencies of current/new systems and services; and
  • Various other duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Experience_
  • University degree in Computer Science (or related) OR equivalent relevant work experience
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Cloud Administration certifications (assets)
  • 3+ years of cloud administration experience in Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience leading/managing projects

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance.
  • The ability to travel domestically/internationally as required (approximately 12 weeks per year)
  • Ability to participate in oncall rotation program (approx. 1 week on, 3 or 4 weeks off)
