The Housekeeper enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients through the assumed responsibility for housekeeping services.

  • Ensure the overall cleanliness and respectful appearance of the facility
  • Maintain adequate supplies for the facility related to housekeeping
  • Hospitality and availability are aided by providing an environment that is welcoming and hospitable to clients
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in the carrying out work in response to client and organizational needs and must be able to adapt to the changing needs of a diversity of clients accessing service
  • Possess an appreciation and understanding of a range of issues including abuse, poverty, homelessness, mental illness and addictions

Qualifications

  • Applicants should possess a minimum of a Grade 12 education
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a residential facility (preferred)
  • A valid C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified)
  • A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity
  • Proficiency in French and/or another language other than English is an asset

Hours of work: must be available to work weekend shifts and flexible to accommodate program needs as required
