We are looking for a
Finance Manager to join our growing team.

The
Finance Manager is a key role responsible for maintaining the books and completing financial tasks for the Canadian entity.

The individual will work very closely with the Finance and Sales team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance.


Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the general ledgers, bank & credit card reconciliations, cost allocations and accounts receivable & payable
  • Managing cash balances and preparing cash flow forecasts to determine the timing of payments and funding requirements
  • Working with the sales team to update the sales forecast and ensuring it reconciles with the invoices in the accounting system
  • Creating weekly forecast summaries and presenting them to upper management
  • Completing month end and year end procedures including intercompany transactions and adjusting journal entries for FX
  • Preparing financial reports, including but not limited to, profit & loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Providing meaningful insight and identifying trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting data
  • Overseeing preparation of HST, EHT and corporate tax filings
  • Administering payroll and maintaining appropriate records
  • Lead projects for new process implementation or improvement
  • Supervising the junior accountant
  • Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • 35 years' experience in an accounting/finance role
  • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA or working towards your designation required
  • Experience with the full accounting cycle, audits and forecasting
  • Experience using QuickBooks considered an asset
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, and commitment to objectives and responsibilities
  • Effective problemsolving skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS
