Position Summary:


Performs all duties associated with project management to include scope of work, identification of vendors, coordination and implementation and project close out.

Daily purchases MRO to maintain plant systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Sources materials and services, looking at quality and price for comparable items.
  • Negotiate cost, freight, stock levels, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate vendor off site inventory where applicable.
  • Performs project po/pr closing as established with current account guidelines.
  • Maintain CMMS modules in an orderly fashion to reflect up to date plant conditions.
  • Ensure BOM are established for all assets.
  • Maintain purchase order systems to reflect current accounting guidelines on tax exempt purchases.
  • Maintain plant asset system to reflect up to date plant conditions.
  • Maintain MRO inventory stocking levels ensure min and max stock quantities are correct for our operation.
  • Upkeep the daily maintenance "checkbook" and ensure accuracy.
  • Produce a purchasing report weekly as directed by maintenance manager. Include but not limited to, budget status, weekly, MTD and YTD spend. Past due PO's.
  • Work closely with accounting to monitor and report open PO's to ensure correct accrual levels are met.
  • Maintain an annual "Capital Project Purchasing" file to include a summation sheet at the front cover.
  • Parts room clerks report to this position.
  • Investment Recovery. Assist the Plant Engineer & Maintenance Manager in implementing an investment recovery system of surplus equipment or materials i.e. parts, Including scrap recovering, or disposition that recovers as much of the original capital investment as possible.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Make travel arrangements for all maintenance personnel.
  • Daily purchasing of all supplies
  • Oversee the parts storage and inventory areas ensure they operate to a high standard of safety, operating efficiency and housekeeping. Ensure cycle count schedules are met.
  • Develop process/workflows for all processes in the department
    .

Qualifications:


  • Minimum High School. Post secondary preferred.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Access, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent Math skills
  • Ability to read, communicate clearly, interpret and follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Analytical thinking, the ability to understand overall visions, as well as minute details
  • 35 Years of MRO, or purchasing experience
  • Expert level knowledge using CMMS Software
  • Ability to obtain passport to travel if necessary
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle to commute to other plant locations
