Reporting to the Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) Engineering Section Chief, your daily tasks will be to:

  • Ensure that all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items are delivered on time and that they fulfill their contractual requirements as per the Data Item Description (DID);
  • Ensure that all Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRL) items are received and dispersed to the proper reviewers in a timely manner;
  • Prepare or update CM and Audit Plans, processes, procedures and training material;
  • Create and provide Configuration Status Accounting (CSA);
  • Participate in the planning, organization and conduct of CM reviews and audits;
  • Support the Risk and Corrective Action Request (CAR) activities, when required;
  • Collaborate with groups and/or organisations: Engineering, Methods/Operation, Program, Quality, Customers, Contractors, Subcontractors, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Suppliers;
  • Review and update active enterprise CM/DM processes and procedures;
  • Provide CM/DM information briefing and training to personnel and/or other individuals within the organization.

Required Skills and Experiences:


Academic training:


  • Technical College diploma (CGE) and/or Project Management or Quality Assurance.

Technical skills:


  • Computer fluent with Microsoft Tools suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience with ERP and PLM systems. Programming skills is an asset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Personal qualities:


  • Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize tasks, systematic and rigorous;
  • Agile to work simultaneously in one or more projects within a matrix organisation;
  • Capacity to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities and with ambiguities;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities.

Desirable assets:


  • Certification in CM and/or demonstrate extensive knowledge of CM/DM principles and practices including EIA649, ISO 10007 and, AS9100, AS9110;
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 Systems and software engineering
  • System life cycle processes and, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI);
  • Airworthiness and/or Naval regulation awareness;
  • Experience with an Integrated Data Environment (IDE);
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool environment, 3DExperience (Dassault), SAP

Experiences:


  • Minimum 10 years of Configuration and/ data management in an Engineering product development/integration and/or Manufacturing and/or Maintenance Repair & Overall (MRO) and/or In-Service Support (ISS) and/or Logistic Support environment;
  • Experience working in a government or Department of National Defence (DND) contracting environment. Meet CGP requirements (NATO secret)

Eligibility Criteria:


  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada
    "Reliability" status and
    Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • For onsite positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required
