The Quality Control Lab Technician


As a member of our Scientific Affairs team _, _the _Quality Control Lab Technician _is responsible for quality control inspections on filling lines and batching operations, finished product releases, and the testing and analysis of packaging materials, in-process, and finished products.


A day in the life of a Quality Control Lab Technician might include

  • Performing testing of packaging materials.
  • Testing inprocess and finished products.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for laboratory testing activities.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Overseeing the daytoday production and testing (related to product release) activities to ensure compliance with all quality system requirements.
  • Checking Quality Control hourly on filling lines.
  • Frequent inspection of batching operations.
  • Recording and tracking of quality defects and preparation of quality metrics.
  • Closing and filling the batch records.
  • Releasing of finished products.
  • Reviewing of batch records and releasing of contract manufactured products.

Does this sound like you?_

  • Minimum College degree in Chemical Science (or related fields).
  • 1 year of Experience working in a chemical laboratory (preferably in industry).
  • General knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Basic knowledge of following analytical techniques: UV/VIS, FTIR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and possesses exceptional reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented.
  • Academic or practical knowledge of ISO 9001 or GMP.
  • Test method development using standards such as USP, Merck, etc.
