The Chief Product Office (CPO) leads the design and delivery of consumer products and services, including: internet, TV / OTT, smart home automation, and new & emerging solutions.
Our Strategy & Development team is the central group responsible for solving Leadership's toughest problems, delivering differentiated value to our customers, and growing our market share across Canada.
What you'll do
As someone who is comfortable with financial planning and analysis, and cross-functional engagement, you will support capital investments for all CPO strategic priorities.
You will work closely with senior leaders and product owners from across the CPO to help evaluate, manage, and execute new opportunities.
Specifically you will support:
Strategic Finance
- Partner with product owners to understand their product strategy, roadmaps, and capital requirements
- Identify opportunities and tradeoffs across programs and present strategic recommendations on capital allocations to the CPO Leadership Team
- Calculate and track key program metrics including EBITDA, NPV, DPP, CLV, etc
Financial Management
- Manage capital for strategic programs, including budgets, actuals, and forecasts
- Partner with FP&A on monthly and quarterly reporting and reconciliation
- Prepare and present orgwide financial reports to the CPO Leadership Team
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial management processes through the use of dashboards, governance changes, etc
- Support broader CPO financial budgeting and management including opex, fulltime employees, etc
What you bring
- Experience within a management consulting firm or within a corporate finance or corporate strategy function at a leading technology, media/entertainment or telecommunications firm
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a focus on business administration, commerce or relevant field of study
- Recognized for your demonstrated ability to manage financial models, identify opportunities and tradeoffs, and present strategic recommendations
- Known for your talent in working crossfunctionally to bring people together, gain internal buyin, drive decisions, and deliver results
- A persuasive advisor, who listens, learns, and can articulate a compelling story in a clear and simple manner
Great-to-haves
- Chief of Staff experience: managing adhoc asks for leadership including reporting on capital budgets, actuals, and forecasts
- A passion for media, entertainment, and technology
