Responsibilities:


The E&A Maintenance Planner is accountable to the E&A Supervisor for effective planning of maintenance work (corrective, condition based and PRM) and the coordination of labour to maintain the plant reliability and safety.


  • Effective Electrical & Instrumentation discipline planning for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting work (including testing and diagnostics with follow up corrective measures) to implement and coordinate with the Maintenance schedule.
  • Develop task lists and maintenance plans as necessary to ensure long term integrity of plans for each functional location.
  • Coordination of planned work with operations by priority in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring accountability and accuracy for planned work scope definitions, including Risk Assessment, eWP (electronic work permit) creation, SOP's/SJA's referenced, accuracy of spare parts ordering/stock parts issued.
  • Coordinate outside support for maintenance schedule as observed by E&A Supervisor.
  • Inventory control, specifications, and quantities. Updating information as relevant to ensure streamline operations of the E&A Dept. Stock inventory.
  • Stand in for E&A Supervisor during time off site. This may be required at moment's notice but shall always work to be prepared ahead of time with advance notice.
  • Manage preventative maintenance planning and scheduling frequency. Manage approved changes to PRM's diligently and in a timely manner, as to prevent continual PRM executions without approved change(s) in effect.
  • Participate in the company Quality and OH&S programs.
  • Participate in continual improvements withing the Dept. And Departmental KPI's contributions.
  • Perform E&A Technician functions as requested by Supervisor as determined by priority, timeline, safety sensitive or emergency situations.

Education, Experience & Skill:


  • Red Seal Trade Certificates in both Instrumentation and Electrician. Successful completion of a formal planning course and/or onsite training as applicable.
  • CSA Z42 (can be coordinated at site) accompanied by a valid Saskatchewan Electrician Licence.
  • 5 years industrial chemical plant site maintenance/planning experience or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP software and running plant maintenance strategies, understanding of our internal maintenance planning and PRM philosophies.
  • A thorough knowledge of trade and corporate best practices, standards, and codes with the ability to implement into work plans. Comprehensive skills for effective communications with Technicians, MMT Personnel, Supervisors, Operations and Contract Personnel.
