Job Description Overview:


The accounting specialist ensures that all payments are booked and allocated correctly with sufficient evidence under the requirement of tax regulations, GAAP and company policy in an efficient way.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Reviews evidence of each payment request under given time frame for internal control and tax requirement, resolves discrepancies and abnormal issues
  • Performs expense allocation for each payment for managerial report purposes
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly expense variance and analysis reports
  • Conducts monthend closing tasks
  • Corresponds with vendors and respond to inquiries; maintain a good relationship with vendors
  • Determines points of workflow improvement and improves work efficiency
  • Helps with other AP projects when assigned

Required Qualifications:


Education:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field


Work Experience:


  • 12 years of accounting AP working experience preferably in tech industry

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Must be proficient with MS Excel on Vlook Up and Pivot table functions
  • Intermediate skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fastpaced and resultsoriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Selfstarter, team player, has enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Provide quality of work including speed and accuracy
  • Can follow SOP with limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, clients, and management
  • Knowledge of sales tax or corporate income tax is preferred

Working Conditions:


  • Typically works in an office environment
  • Able to work overtime when needed
