TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST (BILINGUAL PREFERRED)**
CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA


This is an exciting time at the CMPA The Association is launching its new strategic plan which will require increased recruitment efforts.

We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist who firmly believes that people are at the heart of an organization and wants to play a key role in contributing to our success.


The People & Culture group is responsible for developing and implementing the People Strategy, which sets the foundational building blocks for modernizing the employee experience, cultivating the CMPA's organizational culture, and transforming our approach to talent management.

The group has accountability for creating an employee experience in which the CMPA's people are inspired, connected and empowered to bring the Association's vision, mission and strategic plan to life in service of our members and the Canadian healthcare system.


POSITION OVERVIEW

POSITION ACTIVITIES

  • Partners with the hiring manager to drive the endtoend recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer.
  • Coaches hiring managers in all aspects of the talent acquisition process.
  • Develops and executes creative and innovative corporate and individual recruitment strategies and campaigns.
  • Champions social media recruitment and the CMPA's Employee Referral Program, and participates in networking and recruitment events to promote the CMPA brand.
  • Develops appropriate prescreening, skills assessments and interview tools and guides to equip managers with the necessary information to make informed hiring decisions.
  • Works with HR Advisors to coordinate work, share updates, and ensure appropriate handoff and employee orientation/onboarding.
  • Responsible for timely updating of the Association's applicant tracking system (Jobvite), including postings, interview notes, reports, etc.
  • Collaborates with People and Culture colleagues on various initiatives and process improvements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field of study (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in a corporate environment conducting full cycle recruitment.
  • Experience enhancing outreach and developing EDI recruitment strategies is an asset.
  • Experience leading recruitments of technical positions is an asset.
  • Experience in a healthcare related industry is an asset.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation an asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Verbal and written proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong client focus and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and nurture positive working relationships with people leaders across the organization.
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to remain professional and highly organized while attending to high volume recruitment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to selfmanage assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain high productivity amidst competing priorities and tight timelines
  • Knowledge of common human resources practices, employment laws and/or government compliance regulations that affect recruitment.

POSTING DETAILS

  • Job Type: regular fulltime opportunity
  • Salary range: $81,600 to $94,600 this role is classified as level
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Primary Remote Job. You can work from a homebased office the majority of time, with regular onsite presence at the CMPA office (up to 12 days per week). If you prefer to work in an office setting as your primary workspace, you can choose to work out of the CMPA's office located in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow's Lake.
