We're looking for a Security Program Manager to join a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team to be in charge of enhancing our organization's security posture, ensuring effective communication, and promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate and execute a comprehensive security communications strategy, incorporating awareness training programs.
- Design, deliver, and oversee security awareness training programs for employees at all levels.
- Coordinate organisationwide securityrelated events, including planning, execution, and postevent analysis, to support awareness and education goals.
- Craft clear and concise messages tailored to various audiences, ensuring security information is easily understandable, accessible, and engaging through newsletters, intranet, and our other communication channels.
- Conduct and ensure alignment of security communication and awareness campaigns with the organisation's security objectives and standards.
- Organize teamwide town hall meetings, steering committees and other communication channels, strengthening communication within the team and the broader organisation to encourage feedback and collaborative security practices.
- Support risk assessments and contribute to governance, and risk mitigation strategies, through analysis, monitoring and reporting.
- Assess the effectiveness of security initiatives in promoting awareness and engagement, preparing reports for senior management on progress, successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives in the security organization, and identify opportunities for improvement.
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Communications, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) and/or security frameworks (e.g NIST, ISO/IEC 27001)
- Experience in developing and executing awareness programs that align with organizational objectives.
- This includes the ability to assess and incorporate emerging security trends into strategic plans.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, technical teams, and nontechnical staff, and effectively communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and accessible manner.
- This also encompasses the skill to manage and organize stakeholder events, ensuring alignment between security practices and organizational goals.
- Capability in leading projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, with a focus on achieving project objectives while enhancing the organization's security posture.
- This includes strong leadership skills to guide and develop teams towards achieving security awareness and compliance objectives.
Even Better if you have:
- Understanding of the current cybersecurity threat landscape and the ability to communicate relevant threats and defences to a nontechnical audience.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Strong bias towards accountability and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with security technologies and best practices, including cybersecurity defences, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
