DESCRIPTION


Ensure that the sales support team processes pricing proposals to customers managed by the Outside Sales and Specialised Sales and communicate with customers and pricers.

Follow up with customers to provide support on commercial matters to sales department and coordinate information related to sales matters for good execution of operations & invoicing.


Develop and implement effective processes while coaching & managing the Sales Support Team to ensure the team reaches the targets set according to CMA CGM local and global Sales strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Guides, coaches, motivates and supports staff.

Ensure the team supports & guide Customers to effectively use of MyPrices, CMA CGM's digital tool for quotations.

Maintain quotes and business support to the Customer portfolio mapped to the Outside Sales & Specialised Sales and new customers via the Sales mailbox and with incoming calls


Drive the team to make proactive telephone sales calls to follow up with customers on quotations sent to Customers but without bookings, including CMA CGM Liner and CMA CGM + services.

Update CRM with all information/ details with follow-up customer feedback for the outside/ specialised sales to take appropriate action.

Implement the Promotion and education of customers on E-commerce solutions available with CMA CGM.


Ensure the team contributes towards effective Dispute resolution relating to Freight and DDSM claims for Customers managed/quoted by the team.

Coordinate closely with Trade / Pricers to ensure consistent business support to Customers as required commercially.

Ensure the Team sells/discusses maritime and non-maritime products as per CMA CGM strategy.


Ensure the Team proposes volume potential & new opportunities to the Inside & Outside Sales team as and when we receive interesting leads or new Customers that need to be prospected.


Collect market information on the competition's activities regarding rates, new & existing services, and submit to your respective Pricer / Trade Manager / Reporting Manager on a consistent basis.


Encourage ideas and new solutions while coaching your team through regular meetings and some joint visits / calls to customers with the Account Managers when possible.

Manage the team directly and transversally, to achieve business objectives.

You will ensure to follow up your team's performance through the corporate dashboards/ tools provided and propose corrective measures when necessary.

Ensure the team follows processes related to their function as integration of data information into the system.


Regular contact with others functions to drive strategy, set commercial actions and ensure good communication flow to your team with the Sales Effectiveness Manager, the Regional Managers, Trade managers or Other department Managers.


Promote improved partnerships and best practices when closing deals with customers: Long term agreements / Mutual commitments / Match back programs / Value added services.

Work closely with customers, internal departments and overseas as partners in resolving issues and creating strong relationships.

Strive for exceptional customer service and positive promotion of CMA CGM brand identity in the industry.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • CANDIDATES MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN CANADA*
    Education: College degree or equivalent (Transportation courses/schooling an asset)

Experience: 3 years of experience in the shipping industry
