Every mile counts, but the Final Mile matters most. We are currently looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist.


Reporting to:


  • Accounts Payable Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for full accounts payable cycle
  • Matching invoices to their backup & Purchase Orders
  • Verification of accuracy
  • Ensuring proper approval
  • Assign proper GL coding
  • Entering invoices in the AP/Accounting system
  • Preparing payments (cheques/ACH)
  • Responsible for vendor maintenance
  • Verify new vendor and vendor change requests
  • Enter new vendors in AP/Accounting system
  • Maintain and update vendor contact and bank information
  • Maintain records of payment registers, payment confirmations, and other reports per audit requirements
  • Ensuring company policies & SOX compliance is met with regards to purchases exists at all times, prior to processing an invoice in the system.
  • Communication with vendors as needed to reconcile, resolve disputed invoices and answer questions.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and senior management to ensure payables are up to date.
  • Month end closing as required including accruals or any other adhoc analyses.
  • Other tasks as may be required by the department

Skills and Competencies:


  • Minimum two years of experience processing Accounts Payable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Highly organized, analytical and detail oriented.
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with ORACLE is an asset
  • Minimum two years of experience processing Accounts Payable
