Position description

Applicants with expertise in any relevant areas will be considered, with priority to those working in animal or iPSC models, state-of-the-art imaging, neuropathology, neuroinflammation, molecular or systems neuroscience, or genomics and epigenomics.

Scientists focusing on novel disease mechanisms or therapeutic approaches are especially encouraged to apply.

Integrated within the Douglas Institute, a psychiatric hospital, and the much larger Montreal West-Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre, the Douglas Research Centre also offers significant opportunities for carrying out research in collaboration with a wide range of nearby mental health services.

Job Duties

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must have a PhD in Neuroscience, Health Sciences, or a related field and have completed advanced postdoctoral training;
Must demonstrate excellent research productivity and the ability to attract competitive funding;
Have a proven track record in advancing the field of neuroscience;
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to and, in accordance with circumstances, a track record in equity, diversity, and inclusiveness (EDI);
Working knowledge of French, or a commitment to acquiring it within a few years of appointment, is essential.
