MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

  • Analyze existing tasks and procedures in order to optimize and automate those using standards and tools approved by client.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and functional support to business users, mainly in North America, but also worldwide.
  • Diagnoze and resolve data processing problems
  • Participate in disaster recovery trials (evening and weekend work).
  • Support changes in production environments (evening and weekend work).
  • Analyze and improve existing procedures and tasks.
  • Analyze and suggest improvements to our current production monitoring and warning process.
  • Maintain existing productionrelated procedures, processes and tools with a view to improving their efficiency and enabling the Applications Production Support, Montreal World Markets team to perform more valueadded tasks.
  • An information technology business analyst is responsible for an organization's technological development and direction.
  • The knowledge and abilities of an information technology business analyst can be applied in a variety of corporate settings.
  • Primary responsibilities of an information technology business analyst are to design business information systems, incorporate new technical systems to improve workflow, production, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • The analyst is also expected to maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Technical and functional support experience in an environment in contact with clients

ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Around 5 years of practice in a production environment, preferable in the financial field
  • Good technical understanding of SQL; ability to carry out research using descriptive data and to provide updates as necessary
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical, documentation and problemsolving skills
  • Good organizational skills; concern for customer service
  • Experience in the financial domain

  • French/English

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

  • Knowledge of Unix and Linux
  • Ability to work in teams and take initiative
