Description

An internship as a business analyst at National Bank Investments (NBI) gives you the opportunity to help optimize business processes and participate in project management in agile mode.

During your internship, you'll help define the scope of processes to be optimized and proactively take charge of planning activities for various deliverables.


Your compensation
Your compensation will be $24 per hour, based on a full-time work schedule of 37.5 hours per week.


Your role

  • Support product owners, business line partners and IT teams with their decisionmaking and deliverables
  • Lead dynamic workshops involving many different stakeholders at various levels with diverse expertise
  • Model current and target processes based on the Bank's existing mapping practices
  • Carry out high level and detailed impact analyses on all angles of processes, with the help of experts
  • Define and identify user test scenarios and support users with operational transfer
  • Make proposals for change management strategies for users of the solution

Your schedule
During this three-month internship, you will have a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work at the office on Wednesdays and another weekday (Tuesday or Thursday). The internship will take place in Montreal.


Your team


National Bank Investments (NBI) is an investment fund management firm committed to manufacturing and distributing mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, investment solutions, and services designed to help Canadian investors pursue their financial goals.

You will carry out your internship in the Governance team.

We are tasked with overseeing all the practices and rules that govern risk management, project management and process optimization at NBI.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) practices, an asset
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices, an asset
  • Ability to understand a coding language like SQL, VBA or Python, an asset
