Position Overview:

The Junior Product Specialist is a support role for the Product Experience Department. This role is comprised of equal parts of technical writing and support for our eLearning portal (Deighton University). Deighton develops dTIMS (Deighton Total Infrastructure Management System) an infrastructure asset management software solution. Technical writing requirements revolve around dTIMS software releases, support and training documentation. eLearning and Support Portal requirements include student support in the form of enrollments, reports, site changes and more.

  • Review and edit technical documentation, including software design documents, release notes, eLearning scripts and more
  • Support the technical writer in editing and creation of new user guides & developing help articles
  • Support product experience team as the LMS Admin responsible for student enrollment, closed captioning, report generation and more
  • Support product experience team as the Support portal admin, managing content and the look and feel of the platform
  • Become an expert on the dTIMS software platform and gain a mastery of our products.

Skill Requirements:


  • College graduate in communications or similar
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Office 365 experience
  • Experience working with help authoring tools (eg. Madcap, Robohelp) a bonus
  • Technical aptitude a bonus
  • Continual learning and development; stay uptodate on the fastpaced dTIMS product releases; implement new features into our demo environments
