Manager, Transportation
Are you passionate about optimizing the flow of merchandise? Reporting to Senior Manager, Transportation you will oversee the day-to-day operations and activities for the LCBO inhouse Customs Brokerage and Freight Payables team.
You will be fully knowledgeable of CBSA and CRA regulations, transportation requirements and freight market conditions to support and enhance the LCBO's position.
Drive continuous daily improvement in the timely delivery of product and financial results.If you enjoy finding opportunities for efficiencies and continuous improvement, then this is the role for you
About the Role- Manage, direct, coach, and develop staff to ensure Transportation Operations support the objectives, customer service and reputation of the LCBO- Manage, develop, maintain and review both short and long-term planning strategies for the departments, initiating hiring, training and performance reviews to ensure a professional reputation with both internal and external contacts- Ensure the timely release of import customs clearance- daily performance of the Customs and Excise transaction and payables to the CRA and CBSA- Planning to support action plans for corrective action when performance falls below expectation- Oversee the payment of all inbound and outbound freight billings according to contacted terms- Maintain various LCBO freight models- Assist with the preparation and assessment of all tenders for the movement of product.
About You- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or related field- 5+ years experience in an International and Domestic Transportation & Distribution environment- P.
