- Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Product Development Specialist - Accident & Health to
- drive the product development process and project leadership of new coverages and products.
  • This is a tremendous opportunity to join a new market entrant in the Accident & Health (Accident & Sickness and Leisure Travel) arena in Canada. The Product Development Specialist
  • A&H Canada will report to the Technical Underwriting Manager for A&H Canada and will work closely with the underwriting and distribution team to bring to market new innovative product solutions. This is a highimpact role that is 100% focused on execution. This individual will be a strong contributor working to ensure that the A&H team meets its aggregate new revenue goals in accordance with current and developing underwriting strategies.
  • What you will do
  • Perform risk assessment and profitability analysis.
  • Building the product offering, which may be done in conjunction with other groups as well as reviewing competitors and document offerings and pricing (financial analysis).
  • Work with different groups to define specifications and build the new product or existing product enhancement in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Support change management and enhanced organizational design.
  • Develops process flows and uses process expertise to support customer experience and efficiency.

  • Job Qualifications

  • What you bring to the table
  • Required:
  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Product Development area
OR- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Product Development area

AND- Property and Casualty insurance experience in one major line of business

  • Underwriting and/or Claims experience

Preferred:

  • CPCU
  • CEBS
  • Change management skills
  • CIP
- strong appreciation for process to operationalize the demands for new product launches
- strong relationship building skills
- highly motivated, independent self-starter, results oriented with solid business and underwriting acumen
