Position Summary:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement administrative procedures or systems that are moderately complex in support of the faculty, department or unit's operations and ensure activities meet or exceed established quality requirements.
- Determine admission eligibility of applicants, by considering multiple sources of information, based on predetermined guidelines and procedures.
- Administer activities related to academic student records and liaise with faculties and units.
- Establish and foster effective working relationships by identifying needs and providing support in the delivery of services. Assess and resolve administrative problems. When appropriate, inform supervisor and formulate recommendations.
- Attend meetings.
Demonstrates high degree of integrity and work ethic in decision-making. Interprets and judges validity of academic records based on pre-determined criteria. Organized and manages time effectively and efficiently. Works well under pressure by providing outstanding admission service to prospective students. Resourceful in remaining current on changes in educational systems and credentials. Maintains the highest level of discretion, compassion, and professionalism. Uses Banner, Minerva, and complete Microsoft Office Tools effectively.
Knowledge of French and English:
McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3 on a scale of 0 Enrolment Services currently proposes hybrid remote working possibilities.
