Description

The Production Manager will report to the Plant Manager and must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to plan, organize and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates production to meet customer demands
  • Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
  • Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Coaches and counsel's employees who are not meeting performance objectives
  • Monitor quality standards of products
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • Set and Manage production budgets
  • Implement cost control programs
  • Works with all departments to ensure the safe, effective and efficient utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and inprocess inventories in the production of all products.
  • Participates with the interviewing, hiring and orientation of new employees.
  • Models company Vision, Mission and Values and ensure employee's model the same.

Requirements:


  • Educated in business administration, management, and/or engineering, industrial technology
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
  • Member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, willingness to become Level 1 and 2 Certified.
  • Solid computer skills, knowledge of ERP Systems
