Visionpool Business Services is hiring a Lead BI Administrator.

Description of Duties:

Serves as a first line of support for technical issues relating to reports or Cognos itself.
Provides support to reporting communities / power users.
Works with business partners to plan new or enhance existing BI infrastructure.
Designs, Install and Maintains Cognos Cubes, and reporting infrastructure for the enterprise data warehouse and other reporting environments.
Plan Upgrades and enhancements BI environments with the assistance of product architect
Knowledge on third party administration product called BSP meta manager is nice to have.

Required Experience:

Cognos 11 experience.
Expert on Cognos Reporting & Cognos Framework Manager.
Experience in Dynamic Cubes design best practices along with deployment techniques with large data.
Experience in AWS QuickSight, Data Pipeline, DMS, and SPICE.
Minimum 10 years of BI experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership position.
Good knowledge on Cognos Architecture and experience in installing it in windows & Linux environment.
Experience with 11.x.
SQL experience in building and analyzing queries in Oracle databases.
Expert in administering Cognos Reporting, cubes & Cognos Framework Manager.
Experience working with Scrum teams & analytics support teams for maintaining consistent uptime.
Experience working with vendor customer support on issue resolution.
Strong understanding of relational and starschema database designs is preferred.
Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
Ability to work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
Availability to work after hours and/or weekends and oncall.
Proven track record on business intelligence project delivery and demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
Cognos SDK would be an asset
