Homebase is in a period of rapid growth and we are scaling our People Operations team to support the increasing size of Engineering, Product & Design teams across the organization.
The Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic partner to Homebase's executives and managers, acting as a mentor and coach to these leaders as they guide their distributed teams through this period of rapid growth.

You will make an impact by
- Being a highly integrated strategic partner to EPD executives and management, offering guidance on organizational design, feedback, coaching, retention strategies for top performers, and performance management
- Partnering with executives and managers to understand key objectives and organizational challenges and drive impactful initiatives
- Partnering with the broader People Operations team to develop and execute key HR programs and highimpact initiatives
- Using feedback from employee surveys to identify solutions and initiatives to drive increased employee engagement
- Ensuring compliance with Homebase policies and conducting investigations when needed
- Managing the ongoing performance review and feedback cycle, and playing a key role in the talent review process
- Providing accurate and reliable HR guidance, support, and advice to mitigate risk to the business and to comply with federal and provincial/state employment law
- Assessing organization health and effectiveness regularly and identifying opportunities to drive improvement and efficiencies
- Assisting employees who are navigating challenging personal or professional issues that impact their work experience
- Coaching and being an advisor to managers on employee relations and performance issues
- Playing a key role in onboarding and offboarding employees, leveraging insights to improve processes within the organization
You are a bar-raiser, which means you come with
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3+ years as HRBP specifically supporting engineering and/or product & design teams
- CHRP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification an asset
- Strategic mindset and ability to manage complexity with ease
- Experience partnering with leaders to successfully build and execute a talent strategy
- Experience coaching, developing, and advising managers and executives, building trust at all levels
- Thoughtful, datadriven, caring, and direct approach to people and problems
- Genuine curiosity and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow
- A solid foundation of Canadian and U.S. employment laws and the ability to reconcile with provincial, state, and local laws to ensure compliance across geographies
- Experience collaborating with and influencing a variety of work styles and personalities
- Highly proactive and resourceful, with a strong bias for action
- Experience with largescale project management and organizational change management
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
