WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction of the Manager - Alberta, the Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road centerline and cutblock boundaries, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing all deliverables in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

A safety conscious attitude;
Postsecondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
General understanding and experience with forest operations and forestry practices in Alberta;
Registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta Association of Forest Management Professionals; and
Valid driver's license.

WHO YOU ARE

Enthusiastic with a passion for forestry and working outdoors;
Professional with a friendly and courteous manner, being service and team oriented;
Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment;
Effective problem solving with decision making skills.
