    POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor / 3rd Class Power Engineer

    SHIFT: Evening

    JOB STATUS: Full-time

    ESTABLISHMENT: Red Deer

    Position: Class 3 Power Engineer - MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

    Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

    Status/Shift: Monday to Friday (afternoon shifts)

    Hours Worked per Week: 40 hours

    Salary: TBA

    SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS

    Responsible for coordinating the maintenance departments in two locations and ensuring compliance with the company's GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and Safety standards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

    • Ensuring an effective system is in place to maintain equipment compliance to HACCP, GMP, SQF, and quality requirements.
    • Working on automated equipment (PLCs, robotics, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrical and refrigeration equipment) as needed.
    • Technical knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Machining, Boiler, HVAC, Welding, and General Construction practices.
    • Able to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings.
    • Proven leadership, problem-solving, coaching/mentoring, and training skills.
    • Ability to handle conflict, align performance for success, and initiate action.
    • Must be team-oriented and self-directed.
    • Directing the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Developing and implementing schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
    • Overseeing training and supervision of staff.
    • Planning, organizing, and directing administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
    • Other duties as required.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Class 3 Power Engineer qualification is required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or Millwright or Industrial Electrical License) is required.
    • Refrigeration License (Class B) would be an asset.
    • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar position.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
