This is a full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Assessment and Abandoned Mines (AAM) branch of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR) leads and directs the management and remediation of abandoned mines in the Yukon.

Effectively delivering this service to the people of the Yukon requires commitment to the highest levels of professionalism. Our work is focused on environmental protection, health and safety, effective project delivery and sound financial planning.

Essential Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in engineering, science, resource management or a related field;
Experience overseeing projects, including work planning, scheduling, and review of deliverables;
Experience building partnerships within and outside your organization;
Experience managing projects related to abandoned mine sites in a northern climate.

Conditions of Employment

Valid Class 5 driver's license

Job Requirements

Travel within and outside Yukon Territory
