INTRODUCTION


We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented and analytical person to join our team in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto or Montreal The Manager - Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and accessibility of our financial information for all operating companies.

Reporting to the COO - Know Company, this individual will be required to support Know Company's financial planning and analysis to make a significant impact on our financial reporting processes.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:


  • Controls and produces precise monthly internal financial reports, consolidating data for combined financial statements and manages filing and access for individual group financial statements
  • Compiles and analyzes monthly internal metric reports by demonstrating expertise in company metrics and overseeing filing and access for individual group financial metrics
  • Conducts monthly financial and cash forecasting, maintains annual and monthly forecasts, and ensures compliance forecasting for banking needs
  • Completes monthly bank reporting including filing monthly bank margin and other reports, as well as filing quarterly bank reports
  • Manages external financial assurance on a quarterly basis, coordinating and completing the required reviews
  • Directs the annual management of external financial assurance by coordinating and completing annual audits
  • Maintains financial reports, and oversees the logging and certification of both bank reports and external financial reporting
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis for board and bank requirements, while offering support for external tax, SRED, advisory services
  • Provides ad hoc support for executive, presidential, and approved business development reporting needs

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of relevant accounting firm experience in a similar role, with 2+ years within audit
  • Professional accounting/finance designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CFA)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration
  • Demonstrates relevant experience with audits, financial reporting, banking, treasury, credit management, risk management, tax and regulatory compliance
