Are you a GIS professional with an interest in land administration and research? We're looking for a highly skilled individual to create descriptive and regulation mapping products for parks and protected areas and to support treaty and land claim negotiations across Ontario.

What can I expect to do in this role?: As a Land and Resource Data Support Officer, you will:
- prepare and review an assortment of descriptive mapping, regulation plans and illustrative parcel and title products
- manage competing demands that require a high degree of communication with internal clients and colleagues
How do I qualify?:
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- You have working knowledge and experience with computer software such as ArcGIS and Microsoft Suite.
- You have knowledge of survey, geodetic and spatial concepts such as bearings, reference frames, datums and projections to produce maps and documents for legal purposes.
Specialized Administration Skills:
- You have knowledge of land administration and cadastral land settlement patterns in Ontario.
- You have a thorough understanding of the effects of the plans and documents within the land registration system in Ontario on land tenure, jurisdiction or regulatory control.
Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- You have analytical skills to test and identify changes to new systems, procedures, and techniques.
- You have the ability to resolve data related issues by validating, isolating and resolving errors and discrepancies.
- You have research and interpretation skills to conduct document and data research required for project and office.
Organizational Skills:
- You have welldeveloped organizational and time management skills to meet shifting priorities and client requirements.
Communication Skills:
- You have proven communication skills to coordinate work with others within own work group and internal clients.
