- Degree in business administration, economic development, commerce, or in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Business or industry development experience in the public or private sector.
- Experience assessing, analyzing, and providing advice on business or industry initiatives, particularly related to government/private sector relationships.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including analyzing project proposals related to government programs and policies.
- Experience in one or more priority sectors: information and communications technology, science and engineering, clean energy, natural resources, entrepreneurship, or small and medium sized business development.
- Ability to analyze complex information from a variety of sources, identify options and implications and present to management, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and take actions in the context of organizational strategic goals. Do they present options etc. to senior management?
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in order to market and promote conceptual ideas and projects.
- A self-starter, strategic thinker and leader who is highly organized and detail oriented.
- Travel within the Territory is required.
