OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the NCP Supervisor/Manager, the NCP Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting day to day administrative operations of the Northern Care Program.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Open and close office at start and finish of each day
  • Receive clients, visitors and staff and direct them to their appropriate contacts or appointments.
  • Compose and manage correspondence, reports and various documents as required.
  • Oder, receive and stock office supplies.
  • Participate in or manage special projects as required.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing of office documents.
  • Liaise with Foster Parents, Support Workers and Respite Workers regarding Finance and Administration
  • Maintain accurate files for NCP Foster parents, Support Workers, and Respite Workers
  • Maintain availability of all forms for Foster Parents, Support Workers, and Respite Workers
  • Maintain booking calendar for meeting space.
  • Receive, scan, file and distribute Incident Reports and Monthly Reports
  • Track data & statistics pertaining to admissions, discharge, incidents, and activities.
  • Process and record placement tracking sheets

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Grade 12 Graduate and/or previous experience in Administration
  • Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation
  • Demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives, First Nations culture and traditional philosophies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a high attention to detail
  • Satisfactory Child Abuse, Vulnerable Person check and Criminal Record check
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), Email (Outlook) and Internet
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak Anishinaabe preferred
  • Successful applicant(s) will also be required to provide proof of COVID19 vaccination prior to start date.
