OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the NCP Supervisor/Manager, the NCP Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting day to day administrative operations of the Northern Care Program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Open and close office at start and finish of each day
- Receive clients, visitors and staff and direct them to their appropriate contacts or appointments.
- Compose and manage correspondence, reports and various documents as required.
- Oder, receive and stock office supplies.
- Participate in or manage special projects as required.
- Filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing of office documents.
- Liaise with Foster Parents, Support Workers and Respite Workers regarding Finance and Administration
- Maintain accurate files for NCP Foster parents, Support Workers, and Respite Workers
- Maintain availability of all forms for Foster Parents, Support Workers, and Respite Workers
- Maintain booking calendar for meeting space.
- Receive, scan, file and distribute Incident Reports and Monthly Reports
- Track data & statistics pertaining to admissions, discharge, incidents, and activities.
- Process and record placement tracking sheets

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 Graduate and/or previous experience in Administration
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation
- Demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives, First Nations culture and traditional philosophies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a high attention to detail
- Satisfactory Child Abuse, Vulnerable Person check and Criminal Record check
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), Email (Outlook) and Internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak Anishinaabe preferred
- Successful applicant(s) will also be required to provide proof of COVID19 vaccination prior to start date.
