Your Role:


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for answering the multiline phone system, ensuring calls are transferred promptly to the appropriate department
  • Inputting patient demographics into the EMR, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, booking appointments.
  • Accepting patient payments for treatment and procedures and ensuring proper patient information and payment amount is communicated to the Billing Team.
  • Checking patients in upon arrival to the clinic.
  • Rooming patients for physicians, turning over rooms, cleaning beds and equipment inbetween each patient visit.
  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail, including FedEx items for the team.
  • Filing incoming documents, including but not limited to faxes, scans and incoming referral requests.
  • Adding new patient referral requests to the physician waitlists.
  • Completing tasks as assigned
  • Providing exceptional customer service and patient care regardless of age, culture, gender or sexual preference
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Position Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in a medical clinic or hospital environment required.
  • Medical Office Assistant or Unit Clerk Certification would be an asset. Previous work experience relevant to the field will be considered if no certification.
  • Knowledge of Women's Health medical terminology.
  • Experience using EChart and EHub would be an asset.
  • Excellent and efficient computer, communication and organization skills.
  • Experience with Accuro is required.
  • Must be able to work effectively and productively both independently and as part of the Heartland team
  • Ability to multitask as needed

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$18.00-$21.00 per hour
