    Looking for a the right opportunity as a Certified Power Engineer? We have a great opportunity open in Chilliwack, BC

    Our team is hiring an experienced Millwright with their 5th class power engineering ticket.

    We are looking for a journeyman who can offer preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in our facility.

    A lot of our facility counts on our boilers, so we are looking for a ticketed individual that can keep everything running smoothly.

    We need someone with a large passion for all things mechanical.

    This is a long-term, full time position with growth potential so we are looking to hire someone long term only.

    This is a union role with a lot of beneficial updates coming to our current and future employees.

    Chilliwack, BC

    Working Days:
    Monday- Friday ( Days and Afternoon)

    Job Time:
    Staggered - Operation of hours are 5am-10pm OT is offered

    Wage offered:
    $ PREMIUMS on wage and more benefits coming
    5th Class Power Engineer ticket required due to contract
    Transit friendly location

    Responsibilities

    • Ability to prevent, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment on a daily basis
    • Good time management to prioritize the most important tasks first
    • Ability to work with other lines of business and communicate with your team
    • Can work with industrial boilers, kettles, agitators., pumps, piping, conveyors etc.
    • Mechanically inclined with a passion for fixing things even on your own time
    • Calibrating equipment and diagnosing problems and scheduled maintenances repairs
    • Knowledge of PLC controls
    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in the food manufacturing facility preferred
    • 5th class power engineering certificate required due to union contract
    • Ability to be moving for most of your day and can manage your time well
    • Background with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
    • Willingness to learn and a goal to grow
    • Available full time and are open to a staggered shift time
    • Located in or around the Chilliwack, BC area
