As Assistant Manager with EllisDon Facilities Services (EDFS), you will work with the Advisory, Technical and Pursuits team to support the service delivery elements of our portfolio and upcoming pursuits pipeline, helping ensure that long-term operational factors are given due consideration and support through pursuit, design, construction, and operations phases.

You as an Assistant Manager, Facilities Operations will:

  • Assisting with O&M solution and process development for Public-Private Partnership projects, as well as other proposals and/or qualifications;
  • Tracking energy management models and requirements for projects, and helping finetune operations for energy performance enhancement;
  • Forecasting annual O&M and multiyear lifecycle/capital refurbishment budgets;
  • Working as part of the technical team to help support operations with facilities engineering and site issues that arise;
  • Participating in mobilization activities as appropriate, to ensure a smooth transition from pursuit to operations;
  • Preparation of technical proposal materials for RFQ and RFP submissions; and
  • Representing EDFS in architectural, mechanical and electrical design meetings and coordinate key requirements and deliverables specific to facilities, operations and maintenance and tracking of design changes, impacts to FMO and potential costs
  • Assist our business operations support solutions and mobilization teams
  • Oversee building condition assessment projects and reporting
  • Provide technical support for various audits and assist site teams with action plans
  • Attend and participate at periodic design, construction and mobilization coordination meetings
  • Assist with periodic technical updates and communication of resources to site teams

Is this the right role for you?

  • Engineering degree (Licensed P.Eng or Registered EIT) is preferred, or equivalent combinations of design, construction and technical training and industry memberships considered an asset;
  • Intermediate level project execution experience in the commercial & healthcare construction / services industry;
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet and interact with intermediate and executive level team members; Strong written and communication skills
  • Exceptional project and time management skills including prioritization of work
