EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Temporary Full-time (35 hours per week & on call rotation)

REPORTING TO:
Manager of Resident Services

WAGE RANGE:
$50.40 to $63.00 per hour ($91, $114,660.00 annually)

MAIN DUTIES:

Responsible to the residents of Woodingford Lodge to ensure they receive the highest standard of theory-based care by planning, directing, and coordinating all activities for the efficient management of a nursing unit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Nurse Diploma / Degree with current registration. Long Term Care Manager's Certificate would be considered an asset.
Experience working with geriatric and longterm care residents.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced nursing knowledge and skills, assessment abilities, leadership, problem solving, and supervisory skills.
Knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, health promotion, disease prevention, gerontology, ethics, research, and staff development and infection control.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards of practice including Regulated Health Professions Act, Nursing Home Act, Long Term Care Standards, Narcotic Control Act and Quality Assurance Program.
Valid Ontario driver's license required.
