We have an immediate opening for a
HR Business Partner to join our growing team in a fully remote, full-time position.
The position will work closely with the HR Director to advise on Canadian law and policy and will be key in providing support for daily HR activities including onboarding, benefits administration, reporting, recruiting, and employee relations.

- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment standards and regulations.
- Maintain guidelines, policies & procedures across different geographical locations.
- Document and maintain organized and accurate employee records, work with payroll and vendors to communicate required information.
- Serve as a reliable partner by providing counsel on benefits administration, company policies, employee issues and discipline, employee changes, and risk mitigation.
- Work with HR team and Culture team to create and fulfill initiatives making Contegix a great place to work.
- Complete reporting for both internal and external requirements.
- Respond and assist with internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Manage the orientation, onboarding/offboarding cycle from start to finish.
- Ensure legal compliance on all matters surrounding HR practices.
- Review and recommend long and shortterm compensation planning.
- Work with HR team and managers on annual performance evaluations.
- Train managers on HR related topics as needed.
- Support HR Director by providing advice regarding the effective selection, training, retention, and development of personnel and organizational development efforts.
- In coordination with the HR Director, coach managers in the handling of difficult personnel situations and decisions.
- Initiate and organize internal staff events.
- Recruitment, creating employment contracts. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Specialist and managers to ensure a smooth recruiting process.
- Assist with various USA HR projects and reporting.
- Assist in adhoc HR projects.
- Other duties as required and as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience in Canada
- Strong knowledge of employment law and policy
- CHRP designation a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Techsavvy and a quick learner
- Proactive and goaloriented
- Organized, accurate and effective time management skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
