Description
Are you a skilled carpenter with a passion for leadership, community, and personal growth? Do you thrive in a culture that values straight talk, team spirit, and winning together, rather than competing against each other? If so, we want you to join our team as a Lead Carpenter

We are a dynamic and growing construction company that specializes in high-end residential projects. Our mission is to provide exceptional service, craftsmanship, and innovation to our clients. Please include your favorite colour in your reply.

We work in the Lower Mainland in the following areas: North Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Abbotsford, Tri-Cities, Pitt Meadows, MIssion and Maple Ridge.

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for working with a team of skilled carpenters and apprentices on various projects, ranging from custom homes, renovations, additions and outdoor living spaces.

You will work closely with our project managers, architects, and clients to ensure that all aspects of the project are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and timeliness.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor and train the next generation of carpenters, and to contribute to our company's continuous improvement initiatives.

Here's what a typical day as a Carpenter might look like:
Start your day with a team huddle to review the day's goals, priorities, and safety procedures

Meet with the project manager and or designer/achitect to discuss any changes or challenges in the project plan, and to provide input and feedback on the design and materials

Work with your team in setting up the job site, organizing the tools and materials, and preparing for the day's tasks

Work alongside your team to execute various carpentry tasks, such as framing, siding, roofing, trim, cabinetry, and flooring, using a variety of tools and techniques

Review and approve the work of your team members, and provide feedback, coaching, and recognition as needed

Collaborate with other trades, such as electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists, to ensure that all systems are integrated and functioning properly

Communicate regularly with the project manager, the clients, and the office staff to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction

Wrap up the day with a team debrief, where you reflect on the successes and challenges of the day, share feedback and suggestions, and plan for the next day's tasks.

At least 5 years of experience in carpentry with residential experience.

A passion for leadership, mentorship, and personal growth, with a track record of developing and inspiring teams

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving shared goals and exceeding expectations

A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service, with a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to challenges

A desire to be part of a community of like-minded professionals who value integrity, accountability, and fun

A willingness to learn new skills, share knowledge, and contribute to our company's culture and vision.
