Human Resources Representative


Location:
G3 Head Office, Winnipeg (On-Site)

The HR Representative is an integral member of the HR team, reporting to the VP of Human Resources.

This role provides support to the VP of HR and Regional HR Business Partners on day-to-day basis and contributes to the short and long-term strategic goals of the HR department.

This role specifically supports the development, implementation, support, and review all Human Resources department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems. Examples being recruitment, performance management, compensation, Employment Equity and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce, update and provide best practice support on a wide range of MS documents, excel, databases and other departmental systems to support the work of more senior colleagues.
  • Deliver analyses of HR data; identify trends and contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
  • Carry out complex HR data processing tasks; advise colleagues when needed and use expertise to help improve data collection tools and administration processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Prepare routine letters, memoranda, reports and similar documents following detailed instruction. This is likely to involve using the full range of functions within standard office software.
  • Carry out routine recruitment support tasks and assist others by following established procedures. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges, etc.
  • Supports the Annual Performance Review and Compensation (merit & STIP) processes, maintains system updates.
  • Plays a key role in supporting the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Manages HR portion of the HRIS system including troubleshooting, ticket submission and biannual releases.

  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on making sure that the organization manages its employee relations within a clear framework that embodies corporate values and policies, while also complying with all legal requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPIRIENCE
General Education

  • Post-Secondary education with a Human Resources focus; CHRP designation or working towards designation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of all legislated requirements pertaining to HR (Canada Labour Code, Human Rights)
General Experience

  • Experience enables job holder to deal with most situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)
