As the Indirect Tax Manager you will deliver premium and indirect tax compliance services, planning and audit support, research and communication and advisory services for the organization.

You will lead taxation initiatives and identify and implement process improvements for the tax filing compliance process.


As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will deliver premium and indirect tax compliance services, planning and audit support, research and communication and advisory services for the organization.

How you will create impact:


  • Reviewing payment, reconciliation, journal entry, tax and election filings for federal and provincial premium and sales tax returns.
  • Staying abreast of emerging tax legislations, accounting standards and internal process changes in order to adapt processes and accurately respond to client inquiries.
  • Supporting federal and provincial premium and sales tax audits by ensuring all queries are responded to and audits are completed within established timeframes.
  • Monitoring consolidated indirect tax expense, contrasting variances between the results and budget and developing insightful metrics to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Implementing changes to tax compliance processes, identifying taxation issues, presenting recommended solutions and implementing changes to establish process efficiencies.

To join our team:


  • You have 36 years of indirect tax experience in public accounting or a related industry.
  • You have completed a postsecondary degree in a related discipline.
  • Having the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation is a strong preference.
  • You have knowledge of corporate legal concepts, terminology and principles and comprehensive knowledge of indirect tax statutes.
  • Having the CPA Canada Commodity Tax Course is an asset.
