We are currently seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator for our client to contribute to the seamless financial operations of the firm.


Role and Responsibilities:

As a Billing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the firm's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes


Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to gather and compile billing information accurately.
Preparing, reviewing, and generating client invoices in compliance with billing guidelines and firm policies.

Verifying billing data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all time entries and expenses are appropriately captured and reflected in the invoices.

Addressing billing inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders with professionalism and promptness.
Utilizing advanced proficiency in PC LAW software to manage billing tasks effectively.
Reconciling billing discrepancies and assisting in resolving any related issues.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of client billing guidelines and industry best practices.
Generating billing reports and summaries for management review as needed.
Assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing and financial reporting.
Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate posting of invoices and payments into the accounting system.
Participating in periodic training and development activities to stay updated on billing software and accounting practices.
Supporting ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required.


Qualifications:

3-5 years of hands-on billing experience within a law firm environment.
Proficiency in PC LAW software.
Strong understanding of legal billing procedures, terminology, and client billing guidelines.
Solid accounting knowledge and ability to analyze financial data.
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to address billing discrepancies and issues effectively.
A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.


Working Conditions:

The Billing Coordinator will be based in the North York office.
Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate month-end and year-end deadlines.
