Fall 2023 Student - Personal & Commercial Banking - Project Intern, Growth & Transformation


The Growth & Transformation team focuses on identifying new and growth opportunities leveraging a client centric Next Best Action strategy: "The Right Advice, right offer, right channel, at the right time to our clients".

The team manages over 20 programs across all the lines of business in Canadian Banking.

Working with our Canadian Banking Partners, as well as key third parties, the team is responsible for the performance of these programs and tasked with continuously improving their performance
- with the ultimate goal of realizing incremental revenue growth across all client segments and products.


In this exciting role, you will be responsible for helping the team onboard new and managing existing programs as part of RBC's "Next Best Action" capability: targeted, optimized offers to acquire, grow, and retain our clients.


What You'll Be Doing


As a Project Intern, Growth & Transformation, you'll leverage your expertise helping the team in these 3 key areas: Identifying Strategic Opportunities, Program Management & results, and Client Contact Management.

You'll be responsible for helping the team onboard new and manage existing programs as part of RBC's Next Best Offer capability:
targeted, optimized offers to acquire, grow and retain our clients.


Key Responsibilities of the team:


  • Work with internal stakeholders in a dynamic environment to
    evaluate and improve strategies that identify the right product, offer, and channel for our clients in nearreal time
  • Take an analytical approach to deliver on KPI objectives and achieve results across acquisition, growth and retention programs

Business case and lead the
onboarding for new programs, channels and strategies:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally, written and through the creation of decks ensuring insights are delivered in a meaningful and relevant manner to internal stakeholders (including senior leaders)
  • Act as a liaise for NBO programs and initiatives while building strong relationships with all internal stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:


  • Interest in marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing and risk management
  • Data driven and client centric mindset with the ability to assess and seek new opportunities
  • Strong project management skills with financial acumen and the ability to business case ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively, maintain stakeholder relationships and manage conflict
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is selfdriven and capable of working in a fastpaced environment.
  • Highly interactive, success driven with "can do" attitude
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook and Power point
