Description

We're seeking reliable and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Ushers for Secret Location x Illuminarium's first Canadian site in the Distillery District, set to open in late Summer 2023.

The venue will host a series of immersive experiences that utilize the latest technology in the field as well as experiment with new kinds of shows.

As an Usher, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the smooth operation of the immersive experiences.

You will assist guests with seating, provide information and guidance, and contribute to creating a welcoming and organized environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and assist them with finding seats, ensuring a smooth and efficient seating process.
Provide a high level of customer service, answering guest inquiries and providing accurate information about the experiences, events, or performances.
Guide guests to facilities, such as restrooms and exits, while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the venue layout and emergency procedures to assist guests in case of any issues or emergencies.
Assist in crowd management, including line control, directing traffic flow, and ensuring orderly entry and exit of guests during peak times or highdemand events.
Monitor event areas to ensure compliance with venue policies and rules, such as photography restrictions or food and beverage regulations.
Address guest concerns, complaints, or disruptive behaviour in a professional and diplomatic manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Operations Manager when necessary.
Collaborate with the Operations team to maintain cleanliness and organization in event spaces.
Stay updated on immersive experience schedules, changes, and any additional information to provide accurate and timely assistance to guests.
Uphold all company policies and procedures related to guest interactions, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to remain calm, composed, and friendly in highpressure situations and fastpaced environments by adapting to changing priorities and demands.
Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus, but not required.
