Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commodity Manager to join our team.

As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, negotiation, and management of vendors for various commodities.

Your expertise in supply chain management and ability to optimize costs will be crucial in ensuring the success of our operations.

Duties:

Develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
Identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and pricing
Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand commodity requirements and develop sourcing plans
Monitor market trends and changes in commodity prices to inform purchasing decisions
Manage vendor relationships, including performance evaluations and issue resolution
Implement and maintain MRP systems to track inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of commodities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in commodity management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience as a Commodity Manager or similar role in procurement or supply chain management
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, vendor management, negotiation techniques, and contract management
Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory management principles
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
