Utility Sales Consultant

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Represent the company for the sale of small to medium sized machinery and implements to customers, including walkin customers
- Work directly with a team of Sales Consultants throughout the branch network
- Participate in a culture of teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met by motivating, organizing and encouraging
- Remain current on product knowledge, product features and benefits of all equipment saleable by RME
- Stay abreast of competitive activity and competitive products, the latest technology and best practices, and trends in the customer's business that will affect current and future customer needs
- Complete, document and achieve weekly metrics for customer calls and new customer quotations, and monthly metrics for product demonstrations
- Complete Individual Development Plan on an annual basis with Branch Sales Manager and complete quarterly reviews
- Qualify customers for appropriate programs including financing and leasing
- Accurately complete all documentation related to sales transactions in a timely manner, and ensure all required documentation is submitted with each approved deal
- Responsible for turning used equipment tradeins within reasonable time period
- Provide a longterm, relationship and solutionsbased approach to clients
- Responsible for maintaining customer profiles and completing customer segmentation
- Employee must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Standards as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees
Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:
- Sales and / or business experience an asset
- Knowledge of agriculture industry and equipment is an asset
- Postsecondary education in AgriBusiness, Agronomy, Agriculture, Sales, or Business / Management would be considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of basic mathematical concepts
- Energetic, passionate individual with resultsoriented behavioral traits
- Negotiation, relationship building and influencing skills
- Effective problem solving skills and the ability to handle small to moderate deals, and moderate volume
- Ability to demonstrate effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Consistent track record of performance and meeting targets and KPI's
- Demonstrated ability in creativity and problem solving skills, in addition to negotiation and influencing skills and behaviors
- High level of emotional intelligence
- High sociability and accommodation personality traits
