Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).

PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Calgary office with working remotely.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze rail fleet data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain fleet performance metrics
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless fleet operations
  • Maintain all GeoMetrix updates and ensure fleet is not dwelling or incurring additional costs; work directly with Scheduling team on any fleet issues that may arise
  • Optimize routing and scheduling to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Work with leasing companies to ensure all repairs, tank qualifications, and stencils are entered into their internal systems, and then coordinated with Plains and thirdparty facilities
  • Resolve freight invoice accounting issues
  • Create and maintain rail price curves and rail logistic deals in RightAngle
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Maintain, grow, and support relationships with both leasing companies as well as railroads

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in fleet operations or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of fleet management software is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
