The successful candidatewill have demonstrated:

Curiosity and an inquiry oriented, research-based approach to improving learning. Understanding of how to effectively meet the learning needs of First Nations students. Skill in consulting and collaborating with partner groups and the broader community. Commitment to the core human values of Respect, Responsibility, Compassion, Honesty and Fairness. Fiscal responsibility and overall accountability. Success in working with an elected board to successfully meet the strategic plan goals of the organization.
Understanding of current themes in instructional practices including inquiry-based learning, formative assessment, social emotional learning, and universal design for learning; and, Success in improving student results in Core Competencies, Curricular Competencies as well as Career Development areas.
A Master's degree in a relevant field and successful senior educational leadership experience are required along with a current BC Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch.
