Marketing Assistant/ Content Creator - We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for creating content and has marketing experience This role requires someone who is creative and can identify, create, manage, and deliver digital content using a range of techniques, across channels including our websites, social media and webinars. - Position Requirements:
- Post secondary education in Communication, Journalism, Adult Education, Digital Marketing is an asset
- Ability to travel to work onsite as required
- Proven written communication skills, ideally with published content, either online or in traditional media
- Postsecondary education in journalism or communications or equivalent is an asset
- A knack for simplifying complex topics and translating them into plain English
- Strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while leading and managing several projects simultaneously with strong time management and organization skills
- Strong computer skills an asset, Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to work well in both an independent capacity and in a team environment
- At least 1 year Content Development experience is preferred
- Marketing experience is an asset
- Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for the company website, intranet, blogs, marketing materials, and similar platforms.
- Responsibilities, not limited to:
- Ability to travel to work onsite as required
- Analysis of learning design and structure for workplacebased training through understanding learning objectives and learner profiles.
- Establish templates and structure for online course delivery under the guidance of the Training Manager.
- Utilize and optimize existing content to ensure that it is visually appealing and functional for learners through creative use of graphics, multimedia, charts and partner resources.
- Evaluate content to ensure that it is accessible to learners of varying levels of English proficiency.
- Establish curriculum outlines and learning objectives for online courses under the direction of the Training manager and review content to ensure that objectives are met / curriculum is followed.
- Transfer content into the online LMS in preparation for instruction.
- Development of an evaluation tool within the LMS
- Assists with creation of E-Learning modules, including script development, demo, and voice over Presentations.
- Development of marketing strategies for training programs
- Assist with social media postings as needed.
- Help create presentations used for sales, conferences, or internal purposes.
- Updates to Omnia website based on training developments
- Expertise with all major social media platforms (i.e., Instagram)
- Familiarization on basic photo and video editing
- Assisting the creative team with the design of promotional materials.
- Use social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives.
- Have a keen eye for editorial and designoriented photography
- Up to date with SMM business tools
- Creative and sales driven
- Attend job fairs and other events as required.
- Event coordination: assists with event planning including community events, trade shows, postsecondary events.
