- Assignments: Casual and temporary work, potentially leading to regular assignments. Day shift - split shifts, and charter work, Monday - Friday. Availability required for casual callouts, occasionally on short notice.
- Operate a school bus following the B.C. Motor Vehicle Act and National Safety Code regulations for student transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues.
- Make suggestions for vehicle and route adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain passenger discipline according to School Board policies and regulations.
- Assist students or staff with loading and unloading, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Administer basic first aid to bus passengers when needed.
- Troubleshoot minor on-road mechanical problems, refuel and clean buses, install tire chains, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Occasionally perform other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 11 education or equivalent.
- Valid B.C. Class 1 or 2 Driver's License with an Air Brake Endorsement.
- Previous experience preferred but training is provided.
- Clean Driver Abstract.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Physical capability to fulfill job requirements.

Joining a dynamic team, you will be responsible for operating a school bus in compliance with BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations and School District Policy to transport students and staff within the district as well as on field trips.
