THE POSITION
Are you a seasoned content writer with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience? Do you create effective content given in-depth industry knowledge learned on the job? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading software company's content marketing strategy?

You work well with others and are comfortable collaborating with other teams and with reaching out directly to customers. You have worked with a variety of departments and can handle writing for different internal and external audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Become an expert in our industry, our business, our culture, and our customers.

Use that knowledge to create effective, impactful, strategic, and shareworthy work- Develop content and content strategies for 3 core product segments - Fixed Route (think city buses), Demand Response (public on-demand transportation), and Ridesharing (think carpooling).- Create clean, concise, error-free, and polished copy- Work directly with the Marketing Director and marketing team to develop concepts into unique content that will feed into strategic marketing campaigns spanning across multiple touch points- Strategize appropriate targets for campaigns (target buyer persona, best content type and channel to reach that persona, metrics etc.)

- Collect & incorporate information from several departments such sales, product, & deployment- Upkeep collateral and web content, including SEO and blog article creation

QUALIFICATIONS- College/university degree required. Preferably in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Communications, or Marketing- Minimum 5 years professional writing across a variety of digital media- B2B, enterprise software, or transit industry experience is a strong asset- Campaign management / execution experience is an asset- In-depth understanding of SEO best practices & strategy- Portfolio of relevant published work- Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and related productivity software- Ability to conceive, draft, proofread and edit written materials quickly- An eye for details, excellent grammatical skills, and the ability to develop content that requires little or no editing- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, working with a high degree of independence- Experience conceptualizing, planning, and/or creating video content is an asset- Working knowledge of CMS and project management systems is an asset
