Reporting to the Team Lead, Communications, the Communications Coordinator will support the development
and delivery of multi-media communications content for print media (publications, advertising, banners,
signage, etc.) and digital media (website, social media, graphics, video, photography etc.) while ensuring
alignment with Providence Care's communications strategies and brand standards. The Communications
Coordinator will contribute to the organization's graphic design/desktop publishing activities, the production of
corporate publications and other materials for the department and its internal clients, and support event
planning and related logistics. Working collaboratively with the Team Lead, Communications, the
Communications Coordinator develops relationships with local and regional stakeholders which raises the
community awareness of Providence Care. As a member of the Communications Department, the
Communications Coordinator has regular access to sensitive or confidential information for use in the
preparation of internal or external communications materials.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepares and supports the development of Providence Care's internal and external corporate newsletters,
- Designs, edits and proofreads a wide range of materials, including (but not limited to) signage, banners,
- Ensures quality of products and their compliance to corporate standards; helps ensure all necessary

- Liaises with the department's clients and the Purchasing department to ensure purchasing and publications

- Researches, writes, designs and coordinates Providence Care advertising
- Researches and contributes to the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate internal and

***- Supports the implementation of new features to corporate website and intranet, bringing both sites into
compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (Information and Communications
standards)
***- Provides photography services for internal/external publications, events, websites and coordinates
professional photography services as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent of combined
- One two years of Graphic Design, Marketing Communications or Journalism experience preferred,
- Work or volunteer experience in the notforprofit or health care sector preferred
- Experience or formal training in digital photography and the use of digital editing software
rehabilitative care. Continuing the legacy of our Founders, the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul,
